Twice per year, NASA offers residential customer the ability to place unlimited amounts of bulky items at the curb for FREE. These collection events are designed for residents to dispose of larger items that don’t generally fit into the recycling, green waste, or trash bins. NASA collects these materials and recycles or properly disposes of them.
NASA encourages the donation and refurbishment of items first, before disposing of them. “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” and many valuable resources get tossed into landfills that could have been salvaged and reused.
What’s Acceptable?
• Furniture such as chairs, sofas, mattresses, and rugs.
• Appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, plumbing, small household appliances, and similar items.
• E-waste such as computers, telephones, radios, stereo equipment, compact disc players, televisions, computer monitors, and any other electronic device listed in the regulations adopted by the CA Department of Toxic Substances Control pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 25214.1.1 (b).
• Yard waste, such as tree branches and scrap wood, in cans or bundles up to 4′ long.
• Clothing.
• Other non-hazardous household items which do not fit inside the trash or recycling containers.
• Up to two (2) pick-up truck or automobile tires.
What’s NOT Acceptable?
• Automobiles, auto parts, spas/jacuzzis.

• Construction debris, such as concrete, asphalt, drywall, and lumber.
• Other items that require more than two people to collect, such as tree stumps and equipment.
Two Ways to Participate:
1) Place items at the curb on your regular collection day during the specified period listed above.
2) Call for a special collection. In addition to the Spring or Fall Clean-up, residents can call during any time of the year and receive two special collections at NO CHARGE!
• Make sure all items are at the curb no later < than 6 am on your regular day of collection.
